Targeting net-zero energy outcomes and using sustainable building materials, Echo is about making responsible choices that will reverberate for generations.
These are high-performance townhomes of uncompromising quality, set to be Australia’s first off-the-plan certified Passive House project.
Passive Houses are designed for the local climate, minimising heating loads in winter and cooling loads or overheating in summer using applied building science. Every room has been designed for easy daily living, with ample storage and durable finishes for low maintenance. A chef’s kitchen has been laid out for optimal flow and function, with V-Zug appliances selected for superb performance and efficiency, while multiple living spaces offer versatility for residents to use for work or play.
The low energy consumption baseline of Passive House will be partially supplied by individual unit renewable energy generation via rooftop solar. Annual energy generation has the potential for a total offset, or net zero energy. Interiors are defined by a calm and relaxed aesthetic, with natural tones in the tile floors, timber joinery and granite benchtops. Dedicated, high-efficiency hot water heat pumps using CO2 instead of R134a minimise the household energy consumption and GWP impact. A private double lock-up garage provides secure and convenient access for parking and storage, and a private residential lift ensures access and convenience for all. Each square metre of Durra Panel extracts 31 kg of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. 100% of raw materials are sourced locally from Australian farmers and suppliers.
