Significant investment in transport infrastructure is driving economic growth and enhancing connectivity across Kingston.

Transformative work on the Frankston train line is prioritising the removal of dangerous level crossings and the construction of modern stations. New stations are already operating at Mentone and Chelsea, while construction to eliminate level crossings at Warrigal Road and Parkers Road and a new Parkdale Station will be completed later this year, and boom gate removals at Mordialloc and Aspendale and a new Mordialloc Station will be completed by 2026. This comprehensive project promises improved safety, faster travel times and a more connected transportation network.

Meanwhile, construction is progressing on the $50 billion Suburban Rail Loop, which will connect residents to major job centres, healthcare facilities and universities in Melbourne's east and southeast. Sir William Fry Reserve in Cheltenham has been selected as the location for an anchor station for this city-shaping transport initiative, which will slash travel times and unlock a wave of investment for the region by 2035.
