Jellis Craig celebrated the opening of their newest office at the historic Ivanhoe fire station.  Cr Jenny Mulholland from Banyule City Council started proceedings by cutting the red ribbon.  

Over 100 people attended the opening, which carried the fire station theme throughout the celebrations. Guests enjoyed rides on a vintage fire truck and were served red-themed food and drinks from catering staff sporting fire helmets. Puns not withstanding, everyone was fired up for the evening.

For Jellis Craig Founding Director, Alastair Craig, it was an important occasion.  

"The addition of Ivanhoe complements our other six offices and has great synergy with our brand.  We looked to open in Ivanhoe because of a growing demand from buyers wishing to purchase in Kew, Ivanhoe and Eaglemont areas".

Alastair congratulated Ivanhoe Director, David Oster commenting that the new office was indeed a "hot" location.

"David has already been successful in the Ivanhoe and Eaglemont area, having listed and sold many of the 1-3 million dollar homes in this locality".

The new office has been specially designed with a contemporary, home-like feel, which includes a kitchen in reception. Artworks by Jimmy Possum and light fixtures by Living Edge highlight the warm yet modern ambience. David retained the building's historic feel by preserving the fire station's original floorboards.  The office also features innovative digital window displays, where properties can be viewed from the street; particularly noticeable on launch night with red "SOLD" banners across the screens.

David Oster has been working in Ivanhoe since his career started and is proud to be opening Jellis Craig's newest office in a landmark location.  Already having much success in the area, the Ivanhoe team had a remarkable first week by selling 4 out of 4 properties on their first Auction Saturday, with outstanding results for all four properties.

As David noted, the opening night was a huge success. "We had a lot of past and present clients, local business people, sporting identities, staff, media and suppliers.  The marketplace has responded well to the Jellis Craig brand in Ivanhoe and surrounding areas and we look forward to a busy Spring".
